Siding
Heartland Home Improvements offers various types of siding, depending on your project needs, with vinyl, insulated vinyl and fiber cement being the primary types. The differences and benefits of each are outlined below.
Vinyl Siding
Vinyl siding is a great way to make your home look like new and increase its market value. It is an economical and attractive alternative to having your house painted and it can be installed easily and quickly by our competent team due to its availability, durability and superior handling.
Vinyl siding is virtually maintenance-free and won’t chip, blister or rot the way wood siding often does, and new technology has been developed to help keep it from fading or oxidizing. It has excellent “weatherability” and will expand or contract as the temperature changes, allowing it to last longer and still look like new. Not to mention that the many grains, finishes and colors now available provide a variety of options to choose from in order to best match your home’s individual style.
Heartland Home Improvement’s preferred vinyl siding manufacturer is Norandex, as it offers the lowest total installed cost, lowest life cycle cost over the life of your home and has the ability to withstand heat in excess of 100°F and sub-zero cold, resists moisture buildup and termite infestation and is certified to withstand winds up to 90 mph and higher.
INSULATED VINYL SIDING
Insulated vinyl siding incorporates an insulating polystyrene board with premium-grade vinyl siding. This foam-backed product is environmentally-friendly and has thermal expansion properties and vapor permeability to both insulate your home and allow the siding to breathe.
The foam also offers additional protection against impact damage and offers sound control properties. Additionally, insulated vinyl siding helps to increase your energy efficiency and reduce your heating and cooling costs.
Fiber Cement Siding
Fiber cement siding is composed of sand, cement and cellulose fiber and is an excellent alternative to other materials on the market in terms of cost and durability.
It is the perfect choice for customers who want the visual impact of wood siding, but don’t want to deal with all of the hassles that come with it. It is a more economical choice than wood or stucco, and only needs to be repainted every four or five years.
The superior strength and impact resistance offered by fiber cement siding have made it a more popular choice than wood, and its weathering characteristics have ensured that customers are satisfied for many years to come. It is non-combustible and water-resistant and is an excellent choice for hot or humid climates as it is resistant to fungus, rot and termite infestation.
